Monaco Blast: No Terrorism Suspected, Suspect Remains Uncaptured

Monaco's prosecutorial authorities have determined that terrorism is not a suspected motive in the recent explosion that injured three individuals. The incident occurred on Monday evening when a package detonated at the entrance of a residential building. The suspect, seen on security footage, escaped on foot and is yet to be apprehended.

Prosecutor Stephane Thibault confirmed that the suspect acted independently. Although an attempted murder investigation has been initiated, it is not being treated as a terrorism case. The explosive event left a woman critically injured, while her partner and a 13-year-old child sustained less severe injuries.

Among the injured is reportedly Vadym Yermolaiev, a Ukrainian construction tycoon with prior sanctions due to alleged connections to Russia. The victims were caught in the explosion as they approached their apartment, surveillance footage revealed. Monaco, known for its pervasive security systems, collaborates closely with Ukrainian authorities on this matter.
