Jonas Vingegaard Exits Tour de France After Critical Crash

In a significant setback for the Tour de France, Jonas Vingegaard, ranked second in the overall standings, has withdrawn from the 2026 competition following a serious crash during the 15th stage. The incident occurred approximately 20 kilometers from the finish line at Plateau de Solaison, where Vingegaard lost control in a roundabout, resulting in injuries that necessitated immediate medical attention.

The 29-year-old Danish cyclist, who previously triumphed in the 2022 and 2023 editions of the Tour, was forced to leave the race with his teammates from Visma-Lease a Bike also impacted by the crash.
