In an operation over the weekend, British authorities arrested 12 individuals linked to an extreme right-wing terrorism threat aimed at an Islamic event in Suffolk. The arrests, executed across multiple locations, involve 11 men and one woman, with ages ranging from 27 to 82. Eight men face terrorism-related charges, while three are suspected of conspiracy to murder, and the woman is accused of assisting an offender.

Counter-terrorism police intervened after intelligence suggested a serious potential threat to the Ijtima festival, attended by approximately 15,000 participants. The event's duration was shortened following police advice. Authorities continue to search multiple addresses nationwide as the investigation unfolds, although they affirm the absence of broader public threats.
