The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate has reported a concerning increase in attacks on journalists, with 108 incidents documented in the occupied West Bank during July. Israeli forces and settlers have been identified as primary aggressors in these cases, marking a significant pattern of intimidation against the media. This environment has increasingly obstructed journalists from effectively covering military operations and settler violence.

Most attacks involved short-term detentions and restrictions on reporting, with 58 cases noted. Settler assaults, including physical threats and shoving, were prevalent during media coverage of military activities, further complicating the press corps' ability to operate safely. Moreover, instances of stun grenades and tear gas deployment by Israeli forces against journalists were recorded, leading to injuries and suffocation.

The documented transgressions also included house raids, office closures, and the seizure or destruction of equipment, reflecting a broader strategy to suppress journalistic activity. This pattern has compounded a historically perilous climate for journalists in the region. Advocacy groups continue to call for accountability and the protection of press freedom amid ongoing tensions.
