Guyana Ferry Disaster: Rescue Efforts Intensify Amid Crisis

A ferry carrying 116 passengers and crew capsized near Iron Punt, Guyana, triggering an immediate and intense rescue operation. The MV Barima, traveling from Georgetown to Port Kaituma, issued a distress call around 11 pm on Saturday local time.
